My First OOTD | Simple Stripes and Denim

After nearly 3 years of writing this blog I've finally managed to get some outfit photos that I'm actually happy enough to post. I met up with Becky in Winchester a few weeks ago and we had a play about with her new camera. Becky is an absolute genius and I guess I actually look kinda cute, all down to her great camera skills though!

Winchester is such a pretty place so finding somewhere to shoot wasn't hard at all. We opted for this lovely arched area around the side of the catherdral and it was perfect. It was slightly cold when I left the house that morning so I threw on my favourite jacket from New Look. The biker jacket style mixed with the faux suede and all the zip detailing just adds a bit of a statement piece to a simple outfit like this one.

As winter is yet to fully hit us I am still rocking the off the shoulder trend, obviously with a jacket thrown on top for the chillier days but seriously where's the cold weather at? It's November and I'm yet to bring out my winter coats, 2016 has been a very strange year. This off the shoulder top is from H&M and was a bargain at under £8 and I may have gone back to buy it in a few more colours ready for next summer.

Denim skirts were the craze of the summer and they were absolutely everywhere so I obviously jumped on the bandwagon and bought two that then lived in my drawer with the tags on for about 3 months. I tried on the blue denim one that I bought and it just didn't suit me at all, I'm not sure what it is but blue denim just isn't my thing. I think the black one looks the bomb to be honest and I seriously cannot get enough of it, I wear it at least once a week now. The fit is perfect and I love the washed black denim look to it as well.

During autumn and winter I live in black ankle boots, I have so many pairs that I could probably fill a whole wardrobe with them. I opted for this little pair from ASOS as I love how comfy they are to walk in due to the chunky heel. The sole of these boots isn't too thin which just makes them a dream to wear and I rarely find that I get uncomfortable wearing them. The material is the only thing that bugs me slightly as it's a faux suede like material it shows every single little mark possible which constantly makes them look dirty but for everyday wear that doesn't really matter too much.

I am really fussy when it comes to handbags. I like to carry a lot of stuff around with me and I quite often travel with a camera and a laptop in my bag so it has to be big enough for both of those along with all the other crap I pile in just on the off chance that I might need them. I spotted this gorgeous black bag in Tesco the other day and it's the exactly the right size. The only downside is that it doesn't come with a longer strap but that can easily be fixed.

I had so much fun shooting these photos with Becky but my god who knew it could be so hard to pose for photos?! How do fashion bloggers do it so often and always look so amazing? I don't think this is too bad for my first try and let's be honest I look cute af in the last photo. I can't wait to start uploading more fashion posts when I finally get my head around how to pose properly.
